Jeanette Rogers is a lovely young lady who is a Junior at John Adams HS. (Go Eagles!) She has a wonderful smile, a terrific attitude and a zest for life. She credits the Boys and Girls Club for keeping her off the streets and out of jail. She doesn’t even like to think about where she may be if not for the positive influence of the Boys and Girls Club. Jeanette is one of the finalists for the annual Boys and Girls Club “Youth of the Year” award. It has been an honor and a tremendous privilege mentoring Jeanette and sharing this learning experience and this incredible journey with her.
Jeanette will be giving a speech on Saturday, March 26th (ironically this is my 45th birthday) to a panel of judges. She will be sharing with them what the Boys and Girls Club means to her. Hers is a powerful testimony for the wonderful good the Boys and Girls Club does in young lives.
Please help me help Jeanette and the many other children whom the Boys and Girls Club serves on a daily basis. You can help by voting for me in the “Great Big Kid” competition and by encouraging your family and friends to vote as well. Every gift counts and every gift makes an immediate positive impact in the lives of children.
Thanks for your generosity, kindness and support. You are changing lives and futures one child at a time!
