Introducing Team Orange
When asked to be a 2014 Great Big Kid, Stephen Smith jumped at the opportunity! A development professional for Notre Dame and new Board Member for Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County, Stephen is a tremendous addition to the Greatest Kids campaign.
Accepting the Challenge
Stephen says agreeing to be a Great Big Kid was an easy decision.
“The Boys & Girls Club plays such an important role in the development of youth here in South Bend,” he explains. “I jumped at the chance to bring more positive attention to the impact they make.”
While he’s excited to put his fundraising skills to work, Stephen says he’s most excited to get to know his mentee, 16-year-old Curtis.
“I look forward to spending more time with Curtis and learning his story,” says Stephen.
A Learning Experience
Stephen hopes he and Curtis will learn from each other throughout their Greatest Kids journey.
“I have a feeling that I will learn a lot from Curtis,” he says. “I hope that I’m able to share with him the joy of giving back and the importance of paying it forward.”
