Maritza Robles

From an early age, Maritza Robles was passionate about education. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Math in her native country’s University of Puerto Rico, she taught school for several years until making her way to South Bend to attend University of Notre Dame for a Master’s degree. For thirty years, Maritza served the South Bend community as Director of Bilingual Services for the South Bend Community School Corporation. Though recently retired, she was called again to serve as an elected school board member for the South Bend Community School Corporation in 2012. In retirement, she has enjoyed becoming a film buff and traveling, most recently to Cuba. She is the mother of five adult children and has four grandchildren.
